Alloy X presents an excellent resistance to reducing and carburising atmospheres, which make it suitable for furnace components and metallurgic applications. Due to its high molybdenum content, alloy X is susceptible to oxidation at temperatures above 1204 C. The alloy present good high temperature strength and good oxidation resistance up to 1093 C.
