Alloy 31 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with the addition of nitrogen, displaying outstanding corrosion resistance in alkaline and acidic halide-containing media, excellent resistance to sulphuric acid, even highly concentrated. The alloy boasts an excellent resistance in reducing as well as oxidising media and finds applications from sub-zero temperatures up to high temperatures (-195 C to 550 C).
Applications: petrochemical sector in ore digestion plants as well as marine engineering.
