Diesel Gas Oil (DGO) is a middle distillate petroleum fuel obtained from the fractional distillation of crude oil.
It serves as a diesel engine fuel and as a feedstock or blending component in refineries and power generation.
There are two main types:
Automotive Diesel Gas Oil (ADO): Refined to meet EN 590 or equivalent low-sulphur standards for road vehicles.
Industrial / Marine Gas Oil (MGO): Used in non-road diesel engines, heavy machinery, and marine or power plant applications; can have higher sulphur limits.
DGO is characterized by good ignition quality (cetane number), moderate volatility, and energy density suitable for compression-ignition engines.
